IV Therapy

Welcome to the IV Department at the Francis Holistic Medical Center, P.C.  We hope that the following information will be useful to you.

Here at the Francis Holistic Medical Center, we offer a wide variety (over 70 mixtures) of intravenous infusions, which can be helpful in treating a range of illnesses from the common cold, to more complicated neurological and toxicity issues.

Types of IV Therapies offered:
  • EDTA (Ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid)
  • Mineral Infusions
  • Vitamin C - various strengths
  • DMPS (Dimercaptopropanesulfonic acid) Chelation
  • Glutathione
  • Hydrogen Peroxide
  • Alpha Lipoic Acid

Depending on the type of intravenous infusion, these therapies can be beneficial for people who suffer from the following disorders:

  • Diabetes and associated disorders
  • Neuropathy
  • Chronic Fatigue
  • Inflammatory conditions
  • Mold exposure
  • Hypertension
  • Cardiovascular disease
  • Alzheimer's disease
  • The common cold
  • Parkinson's disease
  • Osteoporosis
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Autoimmune disease
  • Heavy metal toxicity
  • Bacterial infections
  • Major chemical exposure
  • Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS)

The above list only mentions a few of the medical uses for intravenous therapies.  Some people also benefit from these therapies before or after surgery, while receiving chemotherapy or radiotherapy, as well as a means of preventive therapy.  If you feel you are a candidate for intravenous therapy, please call our office to set up an initial appointment at (508) 854-1380.

"The Trial to Assess Chelation Therapy (TACT) has provided statistically significant evidence that intravenous EDTA chelation therapy is effective for reducing future cardiac events in post-MI patients who are already on 'evidence-based' cardiac therapy." - Study sponsored and collaborated by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) and the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM)

The goals of intravenous therapy are:

  • To deliver the nutrients directly into the bloodstream
  • To deliver the nutrients to the tissues in optimal proportions for maximum effects
  • To reduce the need for any dosage of drugs in various stages of patient care
  • To protect tissues from injury caused by chemotherapy, radiotherapy, anesthesia, surgery, and other forms of trauma
  • To provide an extra boost to the metabolism at the onset of an illness

Please note: None of these IV therapies are covered under any insurance plans and can range in price.
